FLAIT – the task
- Today´s cities „suffer“ from the following strains:
- High level of traffic
- Traffic noise leads to lower quality of stay in city centers
- Traffic jams lead to long driving and waiting times
- High emission leads to bad air quality
- Inflexibility of the public transportation system
- Departure and arrival scheduled instead of when needed (long waiting times)
- Start and destination not the same as the ones from the passengers
- No private area while travelling, no reserved and reliable seat
- Bad allocation of the transport
- Public transportation overcrowded in peak times and often empty otherwise
- Cars loaded with 1.2 passengers on average

Traffic strains of today´s cities
The FLAIT-project solves the main problems ...
... of the cities today and the increasing urbanization of tomorrow.
It drastically improves the transportation efficiency in inner cities (by roughly 1.000% !!!), brings a flexible transport solution to the cities, that is always available on demand and achieves the best adaptation of the transportation system to the needs of the people in the cities (passengers AND pedestrians).
FLAIT – the solutions

FLAIT Train
FLAIT Train is the entry solution for the urban traffic of tomorrow. It combines all advantages of todays route-based-transportation (like trams) with the added benefits for the passengers of a private ride, which are:
- Privacy for 1-to-1 conversations, phone-calls, working or simply enjoying the ride
- No problems with social distance to other people (safety, risk of infection-spreading, etc.)
- No long waiting times / no stopovers
- No walking distance to a station*
In addition to the advantages for the passengers also the public transportation companies will benefit greatly from our new FLAIT Train system:
- Virtual railways instead of real ones
- Lower costs to build
- Less inconvenience in building phase (less time roads are closed for work, etc.)
- Lower maintenance costs
- Easier to change temporarily or permanently
- More but smaller vehicles compared to trams, etc.
- Better allocation possible (more vehicles in peak times / less in off-times)
- Easier and more cost-efficient maintenance, cleaning and repair
- Better access and fleet-management with FCC (FLAIT Control Center)
